Aston Martin And Fisker Resolve : News

Thunderbolt Car won't be going into production.

Aston Martin and Henrik Fisker have settled their lawsuit over Project Thunderbolt.

Originally slated to go into "extremely limited" production, the Thunderbolt was based on the Aston Martin Vanquish and featured an aggressive carbon fiber body and an upgraded interior. However, Aston Martin wasn't pleased and filed a lawsuit which claimed the car an unauthorized copy and a "bad-faith intent to free-ride off the tremendous goodwill associated with the famous Aston Martin mark."

While the terms of the settlement are confidential, both sides confirmed the Thunderbolt will not go into production and the lawsuit will be dropped. The two sides also said there were some "apparent misunderstanding" but everything has been "amicably resolved."
