Rolls-Royce Shooting Brake : Videos

If the all-you-can-eat sensory feast that was Katy Perry’s Super Bowl halftime show didn’t leave you sated, we invite you to sit down, buckle up and tuck in to this bizarre Rolls-Royce Shooting Brake concept video from London-based Niels van Roij Design. Trust us. Watch the whole thing -- you might not like it, you might not get it, but you’ll be better off somehow for having experienced it. Maybe.

You catch a few glimpses of the Shooting Brake, which seems to be a sort of Rolls-Royce Wraith with even poorer rear visibility and a grille designed to filter nutritious krill from the surrounding environment, toward the end of the reel. You could skip ahead to the 2:30 mark if you’re really curious, but like any good trip, we’d advise you to try to relax and enjoy the ride.

Photo by Niels van Roij Design - We've been telling people that in-car dog passages were gonna the next big thing FOR YEARS.

Renderings on the Niels van Roij Design site give us a bit more to go on. There’s a “dog walk” connecting the cockpit to the back, along with plenty or renderings of fancy women standing in front of the car with even fancier dogs.

So what’s it all about? The design studio explains:

“Deconstructivism is a development of postmodern architecture characterized by fragmentation, unpredictability and manipulating the structure’s surface.”

Indeed.
