Nissan Unveils 2020 Gran Turismo Concept: Videos

Nissan, in collaboration with Polyphony Digital -- the makers of the “Gran Turismo” racing series -- has officially unveiled its Nissan Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo.

The 2020 Vision Gran Turismo concept was penned by a team of young designers at Nissan's London design studio. The concept was reportedly so intriguing to the automaker that it received input from an advanced engineering team based at Nissan's Technical Centre in Atsugi, Japan.

Nissan implies that this “could” be what a future super car would look like. So it doesn't seem too farfetched to think that the Vision Gran Turismo concept could be a loose preview of the next GT-R's styling, or at least influence its overall theme. The concept certainly builds on the GT-R's existing themes, turning most of its elements up to 11 and even adding Nissan's new corporate grille.

Don't expect to see this car on the street, or even at an auto show anytime soon -- for now, the car only exists in the digital realm. If you're a “Gran Turismo 6” owner, the concept will be available starting in July; download it and you can drive it to your heart's content (digitally, of course).
