2014 Jaguar XK66 Special Edition : Current Models

Jaguar has prepared a special edition of the outgoing XK to celebrate 66 years since the XK120 was introduced at the London Motor Show.

Jaguar is preparing to pull the plug on the aging XK but not before they roll out a special edition called XK66 which marks the 66th anniversary of the XK120 originally introduced at the London Motor Show back in 1948. Production will be limited to 66 units and all of them are going to be based on the XK Portfolio specification packing a V8 5.0-liter engine outputting 380 bhp (283 kW).

It will be available both as a coupe and convertible while color choices will be limited to just two: British Racing Green and Stratus. What sets this limited-run model apart are the XK66 emblems, 20-inch Orona polished alloys, chrome mirror caps, black Union Jack emblems together with a beige or black fabric roof for the cabriolet.

The cabin is adorned with a "XK66 One of 66" plate, aluminum shift paddles, Warm Charcoal leather with Ivory contrast stitching or Caramel soft grain leather with Warm Charcoal contrast stitching. Other goodies offered as standard equipment include a tire pressuring monitoring system, rear-view camera and adaptive headlights.

Slated to reach German dealerships this May, the Jaguar XK66 coupe will start at 99,380 EUR whereas the convertible kicks off at 107,580 EUR.

Rumors are indicating a successor of the XK is in the works and could come out sometime in 2017 riding on a stretched platform of the F-Type.
