2014 Land Rover Discovery : Current Models

The 2014 Land Rover Discovery will make its public debut at the Frankfurt motor show next week. The updated model gets a cosmetic makeover, improved fuel economy and CO2 emissions, new driver assistance features and upgraded audio systems.

The Discovery's exterior changes are subtle, but a front bumper, headlights and grille give it an updated look. There are also new alloy wheel designs, while the optional "Black Design Pack" – which includes extra black trim and black alloy wheels remains an option.

One of the most significant changes is new badging – "Discovery" replaces "Land Rover" on the car's bonnet, while the engine badging moves from the tailgate to panels mounted on the front doors.

Changes to the Discovery's 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine have reduced CO2 emissions from 230g/km to 213g/km, while EU Combined fuel economy has been boosted by 3.2mpg to 35.3mpg.

New driver assistance features include Wade Sensing, Reverse Traffic Detection and Closing Vehicle Sensing. New Meridian stereo systems are available as options.

More details of the 2014 Land Rover Discovery will be revealed at the Frankfurt motor show on September 10. The updated model is available to order now, with first deliveries from mid-November.
