GM Might Sells Peugeot Commercial Vans In The US : News

According to La Tribune newspaper, GM might sell Peugeot commercial vans in the US, part of the strategy to expand the automaker’s operational alliance.

GM and Peugeot are already jointly developing minivans and small cars, and now, it is said that GM might sell Peugeot delivery vans under one of its brands. The report cited an unnamed Peugeot executive but the automaker refused to comment upon the issue. The two automakers have previously announced they plan to reach further areas of cooperation, which might include the development and maybe production agreements in Russia and Latin America.

The global strategic alliance between GM and Peugeot was announced in March 2012. The partnership was aimed at leveraging the combined capabilities and strengths of the two automakers, improve their competitiveness, cut costs and boost profitability. GM and Peugeot said that by sharing vehicle platforms, services and components they will be able to save $2 billion annually in the following five years, split equally.

“This partnership brings tremendous opportunity for our two companies,” said Dan Akerson, GM chairman and CEO. “The alliance synergies in addition to our independent plans, position GM for long-term sustainable profitability in Europe.”

  1. I think that vans like these are very useful so they should be able to be sold in the United States. I have been looking for some commercial vans in Augusta in order to take my family on an extended road trip in a few weeks. It is going to be very useful since we will have a lot of stuff to bring with us plus there is enough seating for the kids so that they can be as comfortable as possible.
