BMW is making what it describes as a "strategic investment" in Coulomb Technologies, which makes the ChargePoint electric car charging system.

ChargePoint currently connect electric vehicle drivers to charging stations in more than 14 countries worldwide, and claims to be the world's largest system.

The investment by BMW will help speed the development of an electric infrastructure for plug-in electric vehicles around the world. BMW is launching two EVs, the i3 'city car' and the larger i8 luxury sedan, within the next couple of years.

The BMW announcement follows by just a few weeks the announcement by Mercedes-Benz that it is investing 40 million Euros to build a network of stations across Germany to refuel hydrogen fuel cell cars. The Mercedes-Benz F-Cell compact already is on the road both in Europe and in the United States.

In addition to making the charging stations, ChargePoint software service shelp drivers manage charging services, including the ability to locate and reserve stations, process payments, and more.

Car : Mercedes Silvretta

The third Silvretta E-Car Rallye in Austria is a stress test for electric cars, hydrogen fuel cell cars and even electric motorbikes. The three-day, 300-mile course is up and down Alpine mountain roads around Montafon, Austria, including grades of more than 15 degrees that test both driver skill and the technology of alternative fuel vehicles.

The 2012 Silvretta E-Car Rallye is July 5-7, in Austria’s Tyrol and Voralberg regions.

Mercedes-Benz has the largest contingent of entries, seven vehicles. There are two Mercedes-Benz A-Class E-Cell electric vehicles, two Mercedes-Benz B-Class F-Cell fuel cell vehicles, and the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG E-Cell electric super-sports car, scheduled for market launch in 2013. The SLS AMG E-Cell is being driven by former Formula One race driver Karl Wendlinger.

Mercedes also is rallying two brand-new Smart fortwo electric drive cars. The new Smart e-bike will join the rally for past of the route.(Read More)

Drive A Nascar On A Virtual Track

The new NASCAR The Game: Inside Line allows players to race with the top NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers, teams and cars, on 23 officially licensed racetracks, including Indianapolis, site of the world-famous Indianapolis 500.

The 2012 Indy is Sunday, May 27th, at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, with 64 cars set to start, all of them turbocharged, and a tribute to champion racecar driver Dan Wheldon, killed in a speedway crash last year.

You’ll have a while to decide just who you want to race against, since the NASCAR The Game: Inside Line is launching this fall. The game is from Eutechnyx, which promises online features that include realistic race weekends, and the ability to rise up through the ranks, attract sponsors, and upgrade your vehicle’s components virtually, the same way real racecar drivers and teams do it. Fixing Tickets In Philadelphia

Following a federal investigation, two Philadelphia judges pleaded guilty to “fixing tickets.” This isn’t an earth shattering revelation, fixing traffic tickets is a national sport. Cops do it, D.A.s do it, and, as just noted, judges do it. So, is this rampant circumvention of the law a sign of pervasive corruption in our legal system?

Not really. Rather, it is the legal system coping with the inherent corruption that exists across a broad swath of our governing institutions.

At some point in the past our system went off the rails and instead of relying solely on legitimate taxation to fund public services, including the court system, there was a shift to using the Police Power to generate revenue, often under the guise of protecting the public safety.

Reams of laws, regulations, and standards that could fill several libraries have been created and their enforcement is used to generate government revenue. Not all of these laws , regulations and standards are unreasonable or arbitrary, but enough are that even the benefactors of the largess generated by fines and penalties recognize the inherent unfairness of relentless enforcement. BMW has already brought out a new turbocharged four-cylinder engine as the standard powerplant in both the 3 Series and the 5 Series — which formerly came standard with sixes.

Jaguar will do the same next year in the 2013 XF — which up to now has come standard with a V-8. There will be — reportedly, these stats are preliminary — a new turbocharged four cylinder engine in the 238 hp range as standard equipment, with a 336 hp supercharged V-6 as the step-up option.

If these preliminary stats are accurate, the ’13 XF’s engines will produce much less hp than — and deliver performance inferior to — the current car’s standard 385 hp 5.0 liter V-8. The four-cylinder XF, with 147 fewer hp, will for-sure be much less quick than the current car — with an estimated 0-60 capability of 7.5 seconds (vs. 5.6 for the V-8). Camry turf. The soon-to-be-here supercharged V-6 may match the current base XF’s 0-60 performance — maybe — but will almost certainly fall short of what the current supercharged V-8 XF can deliver. (Read More)

Dean McDermott is a Canadian-American actor. He is married to Victoria Davey "Tori" Spelling, with whom he appeared in the observational documentary shows Tori & Dean: Inn Love and Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood, and for having acted out the role of Constable Renfield Turnbull on the TV series Due South.

McDermott married his first wife, fellow Canadian Mary Jo Eustace, on July 24, 1993. Their son Jack Montgomery was born in October 1998. In July 2005, McDermott began filming the Lifetime TV movie Mind Over Murder in Ottawa, alongside Tori Spelling. The two began an affair the night they first met, despite both being married. In September, Spelling separated from her husband Charlie Shanian. While on a family vacation in Palm Springs, California, McDermott told Eustace, "I'm leaving you, not my kid," and filed for divorce from his wife of 12 years. On December 24, 2005, McDermott and Spelling became engaged. In February 2006, McDermott's and Eustace's divorce was finalized; and in April 2006, Spelling's and Shanian's divorce was finalized. McDermott was granted joint custody of his son Jack, but he opted not to move forward with the adoption of a baby girl, Lola, he and Eustace were in the process of adopting prior to their separation.

McDermott married Spelling on May 7, 2006, in a private ceremony in Wakaya, Fiji. Spelling and McDermott renewed their vows on May 8, 2010 in Beverly Hills. Spelling and McDermott have four children: sons Liam Aaron (born March 13, 2007) and Finn Davey (born August 30, 2012) and daughters Stella Doreen (born June 9, 2008) and Hattie Margaret (born October 10, 2011).

On July 1, 2010, McDermott was involved in a dirt bike accident, his second motorcycle accident of the year. Suffering a punctured and collapsed lung, he was rushed to the Intensive Care Unit of a Los Angeles hospital. Doctors expected McDermott to make a full recovery. McDermott was released from the hospital on July 6, 2010.

McDermott became an American citizen at a ceremony in Los Angeles on August 21, 2010.

The Porsche 924 was actually intended for being the flagship coupé sports car of Volkswagen. Volkswagen commissioned Porsche to design the car, intending to marry the chassis to an existing Audi transmission and I4 engine.

Due to increasing concern over the oil crisis in the year 1973 and the unstable directors’ position at Volkswagen, the 425 project was kept on a break, eventually leaving it totally after they decide to get started with their next project - the Volkswagen Scirocco. Porsche acquired the rights to the design they had created and then began to build the Porsche 924 themselves in 1976 with production continuing through 1986.

The Cien's low, sleek appearance, inspired by the latest F-22 Stealth fighter aircraft, has produced a different look and proportion for Cadillac. It further demonstrates the reach of the brand's identity.

Trapezoidal air inlets are milled into the front-end surface of the Cien, graphically forming Cadillac's shield-like grille, which incorporates a centrally mounted wreath and crest insignia. These air inlets -- which feed the front-mounted radiators -- are flanked on either side by vertical headlamps, together creating the unmistakable `face' of Cadillac.

In profile, Cadillac's characteristic crisp-edged feature line runs the length of the body, suggesting tension in the surface, and also adding to the dramatic stance. Another taut line intersects the first, sweeping from the tail through the sail panel to the front of the vehicle. These main feature lines work together to give the Cien a dramatic and unique look, especially when viewed from above. The body and monocoque chassis are produced from carbon fiber composite, derived from race car technology, that is both lightweight and strong.

Electronically controlled air inlets and outlets are integrated into the Cien's body side. These active vents open and close as required for cooling. Also, air is directed to the V12 engine via intakes beneath the two characteristic sail panels.

The Cien's rear view embodies Cadillac's distinctive design heritage with fin-like vertical taillights, and a wide center high mounted stop lamp (CHMSL), which spans the rear deck, along with the characteristic centerline crease. The Cien also features an active spoiler that adjusts automatically depending upon the speed of the vehicle, and a removable targa roof panel for open-air motoring.

The blue glass on the Cien was inspired by sport-performance eyewear, enhancing the vehicle's modern, high-tech look.

Nestled between the 19-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels is a cabin featuring high-tech structural materials and Cadillac's leading-edge technologies: Night Vision, OnStar, StabiliTrak, Ultrasonic Rear Parking Assist and Communiport - which integrates the car's audio, computing, navigation and wireless communication through hands-free voice activation.

Night Vision uses thermal imaging to help a driver detect potentially dangerous situations well beyond the range of the vehicle's headlamps. The image is relayed to the driver via a heads-up display projected on the windscreen.

Additionally, the interior of the Cien features a digital instrument display relaying all of the vehicle's functions, including diagnostics and satellite navigation, to the driver. LCD screens display images from the rearview cameras. A state-of-the-art entertainment system designed to match the car's unique acoustic characteristics is incorporated into the cockpit.

Dark anodized aluminum accents reflect the Cien's cool, technical appearance. The interior has a strong vertical theme, revolving around the car's center console, which houses Cien's controls, and the modern, yet classical clock - designed by Bulgari and inspired by their Rettangolo wristwatch. The interior further complements the concept's lightweight theme, utilizing carbon fiber and aluminum structural elements in a design that combines luxury and performance.

Cadillac Cien's 7.5-liter, V12 powerplant, which is visible through a clear window in the decklid, is a new concept engine from GM Powertrain named the Northstar XV12. The all-aluminum, dual overhead cam (DOHC) four-valve V12 engine generates 750 horsepower and 450 lb.-ft. of torque, yet it meets the packaging requirements and fuel economy standards of a V8.

The Northstar XV12 concept engine features several technological advancements over today's V8 engines, including: GM's Displacement on Demand technology, which allows the engine to run seamlessly on six cylinders at times to maximize fuel savings; direct injection gasoline combustion system for increased engine power, improved fuel economy and reduced emissions; and a combined starter generator.

The Cien is fitted with a semi-automatic transmission, controlled by Formula 1-inspired column-mounted electronic paddles.

With so many names in the member list, KOA is the world's largest and oldest organizing body. Started in California, by George Barris in 1949, Kustoms has been growing and improving since. Kustoms of America was originally founded as Kustom Car Club . The founder was George Barris. He formed the club in his teen years. In the mid-forties his club renamed itself as Kustoms of Los Angeles. During the post war years, several groups had formed around family and special interests. Some clubs were race car driven while others built customs and low riders. Seeing the potential for rapid growth, george and his club again renamed itself Kustoms of America. This was 1949. George had become a legendary car customizer / builde. he was also contributing photography that allowed locally based car magazine publishers an opportunity to showcase the artform.  George also advertised Kustoms of America in all the "little book" periodicals of the day.

During the sizzling sixties, the automobile manufacturers, mainly Ford, became active in supporting the passion for automotive design. Since the proffesional designers were full time custizers, they readily exchanged ideas with creative car enthusiasts. Kustoms remained strong as a leader in the definition of kustom car art. Mr barris, a gifted photographer and tweacher lead his organization by sharing his talent with the model car companies as well as the popular periodicals of the day. If this were not so, then the movement may have died out.

On the 15th of February, 1994, the club known as "Kustoms of America" was turned over to Jim Hibbs from Nashville, Tennessee and Paul Spillman from Clarksville, Indiana. On February 7th, 1997, due to illness, Paul Spillman sold all rights to "Kustoms of America" to his partner, Jim Hibbs, who was totally dedicated to Kustoms of America’s growth for all automobile enthusiast.  After  the turn of the century, Mr Hibbs health became a factor.

directly after the studies, since 2003 - with BMW in Munich with a six months interval at Designworks in California;  Blasi designed one of the most beautiful and most desired BMW's of last years - E89 second generation Z4, which became also a commercial success; the Z4 design received in July of 2009, an International Design Excellence Award (IDEA)  presented annually by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA).

Blasi designed recently BMW Vision Connected Drove prototype, which is an attempt to find a new shape of a sports car.

Blasi says: “If you look at the car you should not be able to see whether it was designed by a woman or a man”.

Car : BMW Z4

The BMW Z4 is a small two-seat sports car, with a traditional roadster layout combining a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive configuration, a long good, and a low seating position just ahead of the rear wheels. Major competitors include the Audi TT, Mazda MX-5 Miata, Mercedes-Benz SLK, Nissan 350Z/370Z Convertible, and Porsche Boxster. It's always been a premium-priced model, but it's become increasingly pricey relative to other convertibles—and BMW's own 3-Series Convertible. The Z4 used to cost somewhat less than the 3-Series drop-top; now it costs slightly more.

Back in 1996 BMW introduced its first mass-produced roadster, aimed at the Mazda Miata; but with a coarse-sounding four-cylinder base engine and a cheerfully simple feel, the Z3 always felt a little out of place in BMW's U.S. showrooms—even when the automaker added larger six-cylinder engines.

The original BMW Z4, introduced for 2003, wasn't that much larger than the Z3 but it was much more refined and luxurious—and it made a tremendous leap, design-wise, graduating from British roadster disciple to something much more complex, inside and out. Originally the Z4 was sold in 2.5i and 3.0i variants, with 184 horsepower and 225 hp respectively, but a mid-cycle update in 2006 brought more powerful engines. Models from 2003 through 2005 could have an optional SMG gearbox, which was never well received and didn't function as well in the Z4 as it did in several of BMW's other cars at that same time. The rest of the 2003-2008 models were offered with excellent manual or Steptronic automatic transmissions. 2006-2008 models were available in a curvy, nicely proportioned coupe body style, but coupes weren't that much quieter inside than convertibles were with the top up. From that period, there's also the Z4 M, a model powered by the same 3.2-liter six that powered the M3, with output down slightly to 330 hp.

The second-generation BMW Z4 that made its debut late in the 2009 model year was a very different car in many ways. It traded its soft top for a more complex folding-hardtop arrangement, much like the one that had recently been introduced on the 2007 BMW 3-Series Convertible. The newest Z4 borrows much—both in terms of styling and technology—from the limited-run Z8 roadster that BMW sold earlier last decade, and it moved markedly upscale, to a higher price range, with more features and options. In 2012, BMW introduced a new turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine in the sDrive28i model, replacing the previous sDrive30i. Despite the smaller displacement, the new engine generates nearly as much power while returning much better fuel economy. In a full review of the latest 2012 Z4, found that the Z4 is by no means an edgy sports car but loves the Z4's poise and performance, its velvety powertrains, cabin appointments, and tight-fitting top. None of the first-generation Z4s are very good choices for long-distance cruising, but the latest Z4 is a much better highway car.

With the second-generation Z4, BMW moved production from Spartanburg, South Carolina to Regensburg, Germany. Looking ahead to 2013 and 2014, a smaller Z2 roadster may join the BMW lineup to occupy that more affordable portion of the market that the Z3 and Z4 used to appeal to. A Z4 M remains a possibility, but it hasn't yet been confirmed.

The McLaren P1 will debut in Geneva a little over a month from now. God willing, so will the Ferrari Enzo successor, which would make Geneva 2013 the best auto show ever, as the two sides passive-aggressively trash talk each other in their respective press conferences.

Even if the Italians don't cooperate, the P1 will be a headline hog. McLaren knows this, and is keeping the hype fire stoked with a batch of fresh in-house "spy photos" (way to cut out the middleman, guys) and video of racetrack-pattern camouflaged "XP" development prototypes in action. The clip includes gratuitous slo-mo, lots of engine noise, maximum rear wing, and the eternally crowd-pleasing fire-spewing exhaust.

Overall, 2013 is a bonanza for enthusiasts, who get new flagship hypercars from McLaren, Ferrari, and Porsche (the 918) in close proximity to each other. It's like the old days. Now go watch the video below. The hair on your arms will stand on end.

Keith Crain, editor-in-chief of Automotive News, writes this morning that General Motors’s deal with PSA Peugeot Citroen earlier this year is now looking like a money hole:

No one understood why GM got involved with PSA Peugeot Citroen by acquiring 7 percent of the company in March. Now, only a few months into the deal, it looks like GM executives made a big blunder. The weak European car market has made the value of the Peugeot stock worth less than the valuation carried on GM’s balance sheet.

I hope GM executives were smart enough to stick an escape clause into their deal with Peugeot so they can put their tails between their legs and quietly slip away. It didn’t make sense then, and it makes less sense now.

Crain argues that rather than trying to fix the Opel brand, which has loyal consumers in Europe, they are pushing Chevrolet and “completely confusing customers.”

The Daily Caller’s Mickey Kaus adds: “Raising awareness of this new global brand is the reason GM is paying the Manchester United soccer team more than half a billion dollars to put  ‘Chevrolet’ on their jerseys.” That’s the $559 million sponsorship deal that GM, still partially owned by US taxpayers, signed last month.

As you may recall, the current administration has made a point of touting GM’s recovery, saying: “If you are looking for a bumper sticker to sum up how President Obama has handled what we inherited, it’s pretty simple: Osama bin Laden is dead and General Motors is alive.”

Land Rover says that the platform on which the 2013 Range Rover is built is completely new and that it’s the first sport-ute with an all-aluminum unibody structure. That structure, says the company, weighs just 61 percent as much as the predecessor’s unibody. The front and rear subframes also are built completely from aluminum, and have been redesigned from those of the previous model. At the scales, the American-spec 2013 Range Rover should weigh 700 pounds less than did the outgoing ute, giving it a mass of about 5150 pounds. That’s roughly a hundred pounds less than a Porsche Cayenne Turbo, and around 200 pounds less than a Mercedes-Benz GL450 weighs.

Initially, we’ll see two V-8 engines in the U.S. The current 5.0-liter V-8 will carry over with some minor updates, making 375 hp in standard guise and 510 hp when supercharged. An eight-speed ZF automatic transmission is standard regardless of engine. Europeans will see Range Rovers with the company’s new supercharged V-6 and a diesel six, but if either comes to the U.S.—execs have told us that they want to offer diesels here—it won’t at launch.

But as unsexy as “carry over” sounds, a lack of power wasn’t the outgoing Range Rover’s problem. Rather, the experience was upset by handling that made drivers feel as if they were steering from a lifeguard’s chair. Addressing this, the new SUV has a re-engineered adaptive air suspension, and Land Rover claims the Range Rover’s handling will inspire more driver confidence.

To maintain much-needed, rarely explored credibility, the Range Rover still is designed for off-roading. A new Terrain Response 2 Auto system debuts here, and with the company merely describing it as “fully automatic,” we’re not sure if drivers will even need to rotate a knob to pick the terrain mode they desire.

All my life, I’ve been a die-hard Chrysler fan, a genuine Mopar man. I’ve coveted damn near everything ChryCo has put on the market. Heck, I’m willing to bet my leather Pentastar key fob that, with the exception of its introduction, few have ever written, talked about, or really ever paid any attention to this article’s subject matter. Theres a very good reason for all of this. What might that be…… let me think… oh yes:

Everyone takes minivans for granted and completely writes them off without a second thought.

That’s actually pretty valid.  Most minivans are drab, boring, characterless vehicles which serve no purpose other than transporting kids around the suburbs. But as with most drab things in life, there are some exceptions. Dodge currently sells a Grand Caravan R/T, with performance suspension. Then there is a certain purple Plymouth which will definitetly be subject of a future post. And, of course, the subject of today's discussion. (Read More)

Car : BMW X5

You won't care as much that the X5 looks a bit unremarkable once you drive it like it's meant to be driven--like a sports sedan. Quick to accelerate even with the base engine, and downright racy in X5 M trim, all variants offer more handling and capability than most drivers would believe, let alone use on public roads.

Comfort is never an issue in the X5, nor is quality, though neither exist in radiant abundance. There's room for five with comfort, seven if rear seat passengers are small, and fit, finish, and materials are all what you'd expect from BMW and the luxury SUV class.

IIHS ratings of "good" in every category and a strong complement of standard safety equipment make the 2011 X5 a secure, safe SUV. Active safety features like the advanced stability and traction control systems, plus the innate ability of the chassis and setup, make it easier to avoid accidents before they happen.

There is no shortage of standard features in any trim of the X5, and if you find a shortage, you can remedy it with the long options list. The iDrive controller, a notoriously complex system, has been refined over the past few years to better approximate an intuitive interface, and now offers fewer objections, and more functionality, than before.

From a high of 19/26 mpg to a low of 14/20 mpg (and 12/17 mpg for the X5M) the BMW X5 range is relatively economical--even green, for a large SUV, in xDrive35i trim.

Car : 2012 Mini Cooper Countryman

The Countryman also marked the debut of a new styling direction for MINI, and the 2012 Countryman sticks to its guns. Taller, bigger, and with a more boldly-styled front end, the Countryman is instantly recognizable, both as a MINI and as something out of the ordinary. Inside, the Countryman is more similar to its smaller siblings, with all of the good (quirky design, surprising roominess) and bad (odd ergonomics) that brings.

The Countryman, however, is not very MINI under the skin; it's actually based off the platform under BMW's X1. That brings with it ALL4 all-wheel drive capability, a more refined ride, and somewhat more weight, but the difference from a typical MINI is measured in small degrees, not major paradigm shifts. Power is not quite abundant with the Countryman, even in Cooper S ALL4 trim, but it's a sporty ride for a crossover. All three Countryman trims (base, S, and S ALL4) are available with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission.

Base models use the same 121-horsepower 1.6-liter four-cylinder found in other MINIs, while the Cooper S Countryman models (including the ALL4) use the 181-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder common to the Cooper S range. It's a bit of a shock how much MINI there is in the Countryman's handling, but no surprise that in the end, it's more sporty crossover than real sports vehicle.

Fuel economy is, accordingly, more or less in line with other MINIs despite the added bulk: the non-turbo base model rates 27/35 mpg with the manual transmission and 25/30 mpg with the automatic. The Cooper S Countryman does only slightly worse with the manual at 26/32 mpg, and actually a little better with the automatic at 25/32 mpg. Adding all-wheel drive to the Countryman S is only a 1-2 mpg penalty depending on the transmission chosen.

Car : Nissan Land Glider EV Concept

Proving that city cars don't have to be sleepy little streamlined dice, the Nissan Land Glider EV concept being prepped for the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show ties together easy maneuverability and parking with a sense of excitement behind the wheel, despite being piloted by a surprisingly sedate woman in the press photos.

The Japanese are often keen to liken the experience of driving a car to that of riding a horse--as Mazda terms it, "jinba ittai," or "horse and rider as one." That's the sort of philosophy that's inspired some of the most fun-to-drive Japanese sports cars in history, including the Mazda Miata.

Proving that Mazda doesn't have a monopoly on the concept, the Nissan Land Glider EV is a four-wheeled, narrow city car that leans into the turns like a barrel racer to offer what Nissan calls "a new, exciting sense of driving and powerful, crisp ride."

Brandon Cole "Bam" Margera is an American professional skateboarder, television and radio personality, actor and daredevil. He released a series of videos under the CKY banner and came to prominence after being drafted into MTV's Jackass crew. He has since appeared in MTV's Viva La Bam and Bam's Unholy Union, all three Jackass movies, and Haggard and Minghags, both of which he co-wrote and directed.

Margera began shooting videos of himself and his friends skateboarding and doing stunts, which eventually turned into the CKY video series.[5] He independently released CKY. CKY2K, CKY3 and CKY4 have also been released. CKY stands for "Camp Kill Yourself", a reference to the film Sleepaway Camp. These early videos feature many of Margera's friends, including Ryan Dunn, Brandon DiCamillo, Rake Yohn, Chris Raab, Brandon Novak and others who form a loose collective known as the CKY Crew. CKY is also the name of a rock band featuring his brother Jess, and the history and relationship between the video and band projects is heavily interlinked.

Following the CKY success, former Big Brother editor Jeff Tremaine noticed Margera's videos and drafted him into the team which would eventually become MTV's Jackass. Margera and Ryan Dunn became mainstays of the cast while other CKY crew members played supporting roles to various degrees. Margera went on to appear in Jackass: The Movie, Jackass Number Two, and Jackass 3D. Several skits in the first Jackass movie were CKY style pieces filmed in and around West Chester, but similar scenes in the second movie were removed after the arrest of Margera's uncle Vincent Margera.

After Jackass, Margera was given his own MTV series entitled Viva La Bam, which ran for five seasons between 2003–2005. The show followed Margera and his crew as they performed various stunts and missions. The show was primarily filmed in West Chester, Pennsylvania but also visited New Orleans, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Brazil, Finland, Mexico, Amsterdam and Transylvania. In addition to the regular series, special episodes have included "Viva La Spring Break" and a "lost" episode included on the Viva La Bands CD.

Following the show, in 2007, Margera was engaged and the wedding was filmed for Bam's Unholy Union as a follow-up to Viva la Bam. The show follows Margera, his then fiancée Melissa Rothstein and their friends in the lead-up to their wedding. Also in 2008, Margera had a "prominent, non-sex role in" a pornographic film by Gina Lynn called The Fantasstic Whores 4 with Brandon Novak.

In 2009, Margera appeared on Nitro Circus.

In October 2010, Margera appeared in Jackass 3D and the movie broke box office records. He visited Europe doing press for the movie in late October.

Margera appears with Dunn and pro-skateboarder Tim O'Connor on Bam's World Domination, a half-hour Spike TV program that debuted on October 13, 2010. The first episode showcased Margera and his friends' attempt to conquer an obstacle course race, in the Tough Guy Competition, held in Staffordshire, England.

This car is the longest post-war Cadillac ever made, except for limos. It measures 233.7 inches in legth and weighs in at 5,213 lbs.! All this car is moved around quickly witha 500 cubic inch (8.2 Liter) V-8, that is fuel injected on my car. It is backed by a TH-400 transmission, that was rebuilt at 83k miles. This large injected big block Cadillac produces 215 HP @ 3,600 RPM's and a healthy 400 lbs.-ft. of torque @ 2,000 RPM's.

Sometimes personality trumps style—just ask us about the BMW 1M. It's the least expensive of BMW's mighty high-po M cars and also the least pretty. The flared fenders and gaping mouth tacked onto the base 1 Series make it even chunkier, not sleek and lithe like a typical sports car. But we still clutch the keys like a toddler with a lollipop. There's a surplus of performance—a turbocharged 335-hp straight-six engine, mammoth tires and brakes, and stiffer suspension—but speed is not the main thrill. The other subjective measures, such as perfectly linear brake action, steering that feels hard-wired to your brain, delicate road signals communicated through the seat, and the creamy six-speed manual transmission, all combine for a dynamic delight. And it's those traits that separate simply fast cars from the truly rewarding ones. The 1M is simultaneously ferocious and controllable, a machine that doesn't neuter the driver with safe but boring handling. It nudges you to explore that outer edge of speed and control, and then brings you safely back. After a day or so behind the wheel, it's all too easy to believe the fantasy that you're fit for the Monaco Grand Prix. The 1M is not a car that simply gets you from place to place; instead it seduces you into taking the long route to your destination just so you can exercise its talents a little longer.

The car is only a concept, and there are no plans, at least that we know of, to put it into production, it was produced simply to celebrate Jaguars 75th anniversary of the companies existence.

Currently the car is on display at the Los Angeles Auto Show and is proving a hit, not least for its impressive figures for range and speed, but also because it looks totally delicious, we find it hard to believe there would be anyone who wouldn’t like how this car looks.

The car has four wheel drive, and can run on electric only for around 65 miles on a domestic charge lasting around 6 hours, but by using a pair of tiny gas turbines to provide additional energy whilst driving, the range extends to a much more useful 560 miles.

Great looks, green credentials, and a real world level of range, this car is a clear indication of the future, in this guise it will probably never be built, however the turbine technology used is remarkable, and there can be no doubt this is going to work its way into road going vehicles in the not too distant future.

Polish born German designer, spent his youth in Polish Silesia. He was educated at IInd Jan Matejko Lyceum in Siemianowice Slaskie (German name Siemianowits baccaulerat 1984), studied Architecture at Silesian University of Technology, Gliwice, Poland (Master 1989) and after moving to Germany also studied at Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences in Design, Technology and Business (1989-1993). Initially Jacek was based in Cologne, Frohlich and became the head of the BMW Exterior Design in Munich (January - October 2010).

Jacek Frohlich designed BMW F10 F11 (the newest 5-series) Frohlich said that designing the new 5 series, he strived to make the car feel longer and sporty, like a sports coupe, he succeeded because the car looks classic and from its beginnings became immensely popular.

The M carbon-ceramic brakes will be available for the first time for the new BMW M5, as well as for the M6 Coupe and Convertible. Initially scheduled for July 2012 production, the M ceramic brakes option is now delayed until 2013. A U.S. spec F10 M5 wearing the high-performance brakes was just spotted by spy photographer Palbay near the Spartanburg plant in South Carolina.

The ceramic brakes’ stand-out features include lower weight than the regular brakes (19.4 kg / 42.8 lb lighter), and excellent feel and fade-free performance even under heavy loads. The diameter of the inner-vented and perforated brake disks is 400 millimeters at the front and 396 millimeters at the rear. The six-piston fixed-calliper brakes at the front axle are radially bolted to the pivot bearing. A single-piston floating-caliper compound disk brakes can be seen at the rear. The discs are cross-drilled at all four corners to dissipate heat.

The new M5 features under the hood a high-revving 4.4-liter (4395cc) turbocharged that uses the BMW M TwinPower Turbo technology. The engine outputs 560 horsepower from 5,750-7,000 rpm and 680Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque from only 1500rpm. It comes in both manual and 7-speed DCT transmission.

The 2013 BMW M5 will arrive in late summer and will carry Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Prices of $90,695.

The early history of the Saab Club of North America is rather vague and spans several years, so it’s difficult to celebrate the beginnings. The current magazine, NINES, grew out of the newsletter of the Chicago Saab Club, which began 25 years ago. But it wasn’t until 1974 that the "Club" went national.

The Chicago Saab Club actually started in 1971, and there may have been an earlier newsletter, but "Issue No. 1" of UP FRONT is dated March 1973. The name refers to front-wheel drive, at that time still a rarity for most manufacturers. Allyn Reilly was listed as the return address on the first issue, but much of the work was done by Dick Grossman, a semi-retired graphic artist. Grossman went on to become known as the first editor of The Saab Club Newsletter, and founder of The Saab Club of North America. For over seven years, he and his wife Ruth would crank out an 8 to 12 page newsletter every month from their Chicago apartment, doing all of the layout, folding and mailing of each issue.

Beginning with issue #17 in July, 1974, Grossman tried to expand on the growing popularity for FWD, as the banner atop the first page read "Compact Front Wheel Drive Club of America," and later added the legend "Dedicated to Small Engined, Small Cars & Energy Conservation." While the primary topic was still Saabs, other makes such as Honda, Renault and Volkswagen were often included in the tech tips. At about the same time, he began advertising the newsletter in Road & Track magazine under their "Clubs" section in the classifieds. (R&T used to offer clubs a special rate which made it reasonable to advertise there. A few years ago, new ownership of R&T decided they weren’t making any money off those ads so raised the price to the same as other ads.) Issue #17, all six pages of it, indicates 95 paid members, with an additional 20 issues sent to "local dealers and friends." Based on Grossman’s comments in later issues, #17 appears to be the first effort at growing the club beyond Chicago, and established the basic format that lasted until May, 1988. (Read More)
